E-RYT500, MA, Contemplative Yogi
I have been an unofficial student of contemplation and the mysteries of life since I can remember, but my formal training began around 20 years ago.
My initial meditation training was through a professor at Xavier Univeristy who trained in the Zen style of meditation of shikantaza. I later studied in Theravada and other Mahayana schools as well. Today my practice consists of both traditional Buddhist meditation techniques taught by the Buddha himself as well as Mahayana devotional practices taught to me by my teachers Kittisaro and Thanisarra.
My yoga practice is informed by my primary teachers, Sarah & Ty Powers, who have endorsed me to teach Insight Yoga. I have also studied extensively with Paul & Suzie Grilley, Joe Barnett, and Maty Ezraty, as well as many others.
In May of 2019, I earned an MA in the unique and highly regarded Mindfulness Studies Program at Lesley Universty in Cambridge Massachusetts.
For the past 6 years I have offered Yin Yoga teacher trainings, meditation, mindfulness, and yoga workshops, mentorship, and retreats, internationally.
