Open Yin Yoga Class (7:00-8:30pm)
Your Spine & the Six Degrees of Freedom (9:30-11:30am)
Joseph Pilates said that we are only as old as our spine is flexible. But, what does flexibility of the spine even mean? Is our spine a super fragile structure that we should take extra precaution over? In this workshop, we will cover these questions plus we will get to know the spine’s movements and physical structure through lecture, demonstration, and practice.
Hips Don’t Lie (1:00-3:00pm)
The hips are a mysterious and often misunderstood section of the body. What structures make up the hips? What exactly is a hip opener? What deep secrets do the hips hold? All of this (and more) will be covered through lecture, demonstration, and practice.
Meditation & Mindfulness for Yin Yoga (10:30am-12:30pm)
In the practice of Yin Yoga, poses are held for minutes at a time. During this time, we can explore our experience in many different ways. One way is to carefully observe various aspects of our experience through mindfulness meditation techniques, which is exactly what this workshop is all about. Mindfulness Meditation theory will be discussed and then we will practice.
