About the Event
Loving-kindness and compassion, supported by sympathetic joy and equanimity, are qualities that the Buddha enthusiastically encouraged his followers to cultivate. Commonly known as the Four Immeasurables or the Four Boundless Attitudes in Buddhist texts, these teachings offer us a skillful means in which to approach our life and relationships by placing our concern on other beings, rather than ourselves. This creates a much broader view where our selfish attitudes subside and our love for the world grows. In this course, one Immeasurable will be focused on per week. In our 75 minutes together, there will be time for a teaching, questions/discussion, and a meditation practice.
