About the Event
The Buddha taught that all phenomena are marked by three fundamental characteristics: impermanence, unsatisfactoriness, and not-self. These three marks apply to all conditioned things—thoughts, emotions, physical reality, and more. By understanding these characteristics, we are guided towards awakening to the unconditioned, which is nothing less than nirvana.
In this 3-week workshop, we will gather to explore each of the three characteristics through experiential practice, meditation, discussion, dharma talks, and at-home practice suggestions.
Week 1: Anicca (Impermanence)
Introduction to Impermanence - Understanding Change
Practical Exercises - Embracing and Accepting Change
Week 2: Dukkha (Unsatisfactoriness)
