About the Event

On this 6-day silent retreat, we will explore what it means to be truly present by utilizing the classic Buddhist teaching of the Six Paramitas, or Six Perfections. This timeless and wise teaching offers us six practices that lead us into a more intimate relationship with the present moment by reorienting the way in which we see the world and the beings who live in it. Through meditation, yoga, qigong, social silence, and ceremony, we will seek to uncover what prevents us from being more deeply in love with this present life. Please join us in the forest for this transformational retreat experience.

*Note: This is a Dana-based retreat. Dana (pronounced "dah-na") is the Pali word for generosity and is in reference to the ancient Buddhist practice that acknowledges the interdependent relationship between those who offer the teaching and those who receive them.

According to the Buddha, generosity, or sharing what we have, is one of the central pillars of a spiritual life. In the act of giving, we develop our ability to let go, cultivate a spirit of caring, and acknowledge the inter-connectedness that we all share. It is a basis of wholesome karma.

Stephanie & Adam are not compensated for their time and teaching in the retreat price but there will be an opportunity at the end of the retreat to offer donations (Dana) so that they may continue to offer this work for all who would benefit.
