Introduction to Yin Yoga Anatomy: Function Vs. Aesthetic
Understanding the form and function of an individual’s structure is crucial in order to practice and teach yoga. We begin with becoming familiar with the skeleton and its movements and then examine how these movements apply to yoga postures. Hands-on analysis will be utilized in this interactive workshop which will broaden the practitioner and teacher’s understanding of the human body and the uniqueness of each individual.
Sunday, March 29th, 2.00-4.00pm
Your Spine & the Six Degrees of Freedom:
Joseph Pilates said that we are only as old as our spine is flexible. But, what does flexibility of the spine even mean? Is our spine a super fragile structure that we should take extra precaution over? In this workshop, we will cover these questions plus we will get to know the spine’s movements and physical structure through lecture, demonstration, and practice.
