About the Event

In this daylong workshop we will map the energy body according to ancient Chinese medicine and introduce practices designed to cultivate health and vitality. In the eastern view of medicine, there is a very intimate connection between the physical, mental, and spiritual bodies, all seen as energetic expressions of universal life-force. When disharmony exists, it can manifest in any or all of these bodies. The goal of yoga practice and eastern medicine is the same -  to create harmony in the entire mind/body system by emphasizing efficiency of energetic flow in the subtle/energetic body. In the eastern system, harmony is synonymous with health. At the end of our time together, you will have a greater understanding of energy, how it flows,  how to work with it, and the 5 elements as archetypes of energetic expression.
