TEACHER TRAINING

The teacher training modules are designed to train not just teachers but the whole person. The emphasis in each module is contemplative practice but each has a flavor of its own. The Form & Function training provides the anatomical foundations that are essential in teaching safe, effective, and functional yoga classes. The Subtle Body training covers the ancient Indian and Chinese healing systems that have mapped the pathways of subtle energy (prana, qi) through the body.

FORM & FUNCTION:
ANATOMY + POSES
50HRS

In this module, we cover all the anatomical knowledge you need to teach an effective and functional yoga class. We use the Grilley Model of 14 skeletal segments, 10 myofascial groups, and 7 archetypal asanas (14-10-7) as our base. The Grilley Model is a very efficient way to see bodies and to guide the student into their optimal position.
Topics covered:
- Yin Yoga History
- Taoism & Yin/Yang Theory
- Bones & Skeletal Variation
- Functional Anatomy (14-10-7)
- Meditation
